2010 NYE in the Malbrough Sounds

12 of us head up to the Marlborough sounds for New Year. It proved to be a great holiday lots of laughs, lots of food and far too much booze! It was nearly the holiday that never was, as due to storms that had been blowing for the previous few days the power was off in the Bach, the sea was nearly too rough to be able to get the water taxi out there and all our gear got soaked by torrential rain while waiting for the water taxi. On top of that one of the party nearly got arrested for pushing a supermarket  trolley around Picton and then I in a hilarious sequence of events managed to slip and kick the same trolley into a hire car which me with a big gash in my leg and the hire car with a nice dent! But after all that when we got to the Bach the sun came out for the full 5 days and everyone had a great time!
